The rehearsals for Sunday night’s 2013 MTV Video Music Awards at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center are on total lockdown. (Hell, we work here and we can’t even get into them!)

While we count down the hours until Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Robin Thicke, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Drake and Bruno Mars take the stage, we’ve been scouring their social media feeds and stalking them outside of rehearsals to get a glimpse of what they may have in-store for us come Sunday night.

Lady Gaga

We know three things for sure about Lady Gaga’s performance:

1. She’s performing first.
2. She’ll be doing “Applause.”
3. It will be her first performance in a really, really long time.

Other than that, we don’t know much. But Mother Monster finally gave us a glimpse with a couple of pictures from rehearsals.

Miley Cyrus

One of the most active VMA updaters is Miley Cyrus. The twerk-crazy singer just can’t stop giving her fans glimpses at her performance prep. She’s spent her time in New York wisely, revealing bits of her Bangerz album cover, then, finally, the whole thing.

She also lobbied hard for the Best Song of the Summer VMA and licked just about everything
in reach … including one of our MTV News reporters.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

On Saturday (August 24) Macklemore snuck out a picture from backstage of Lady Gaga and Kanye’s West’s wireless packs, which is about as much as anyone outside the Barclays Center has seen of them so far.

“The performance is going to be … hopefully memorable,” said Macklemore of the band’s anticipated run through their marriage-equality anthem “Same Love.”

“Hopefully we will be in the present moment, we will capture some magic on stage that will be transmitted to the televisions of the world.”

Drake

All we know about Drizzy‘s set is he plans to bring some serious firepower. Oh, and he wants to buy Macklemore’s Moonman if the “Thrift Shop” rapper takes home some hardware.

Kanye West

Yeezy is kind of keeping things on lockdown. He’s also super busy being a dad.

On Friday, he warmed up for his gig by revealing the first-ever photo of his baby girl, North, on Kris Jenner’s talk show.

Bruno Mars

Miley hits the clubs, Macklemore and Robin Thicke play charity gigs and Lady Gaga grinds it out in rehearsal. As he prepares to play his next single Sunday night, Mars gave his fans the gift of Photoshop in an Instagram collage on Friday.

“Tomorrow night’s a big night. There’s gonna be a lot of big acts here,” Mars told MTV News. “I’m just happy … me and my band … you know we took some time off the road to come out here, so it’s gonna be fun … What can they expect from this performance? Two words: bang, bang … And twerking.”

Justin Timberlake

Perhaps no performance has been more secretive and more speculated about than JT’s. After all, he has a memorable evening on tap. From his six nominations to the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, he’s already in for a big night.

Perhaps the only thing we know for sure (maybe?) is what his feet will look like.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry is going to kick some serious ass on Sunday night. At least according to the brass-knuckled microphone she’s planning to use.

Robin Thicke

Robin Thicke is making the most of his VMA weekend. Not only did he sit down with Sway to debut his twerk-tastic new video for “Give It 2 U,”, but he also got some words of encouragement from the coolest dad on Earth.

The VMA pre-show kicks off at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday (August 25), followed by the main show at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
