Kanye West caused quite a stir when he tweeted that his second verse on “New Slaves” was king of all hip-hop verses, but his buddy 2 Chainz isn’t up in arms — not in the least bit.

“Yeah. That’s how he feels, man. He feels about it strongly,” Chainz told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway. “As far as his rants and things of that nature, a lot of things that he does and says, at least when we’re on the phone, I tell him, ‘You have more money than me, so please. I think these things, but I can’t say all these things.’ “

On Saturday, Yeezy riled rap fans up when he tweeted: “I open the debate… The 2nd verse of New Slaves is the best rap verse of all time….meaning … OF ALL TIME IN THE HISTORY OF RAP MUSIC, PERIOD.”

A ton of fans disagreed and tossed out their own choices for greatest rap verse of all time, but Public Enemy frontman Chuck D. felt West presented a pretty tight case. “@kanyewest yup it’s a lot to think about. Solid execution indeed,” he tweeted in response to Kanye’s original message.

It was a chest-pounding statement, one befitting someone as powerful as Kanye. “I think us as hip-hop people, we’re kinda like superheroes in some people’s eyes. You got different people playing different roles,” Deuce theorized. “I’m sure ‘Ye is his own superhero, I’m my own superhero. That’s how we kinda kick it.”

Not only are West and 2 Chainz rap heroes, they almost craft some pretty super business deals as well. “I’m sure somebody will try and make a video game out of what I just said,” Chainz joked.
